Gigs This Week

I am playing this Saturday at Cezanne (Montrose Blvd. above the Black Labrador Pub). I'll be joining jazz vibraphone player Tom Cummings and Ken Ward on piano. Both Tom and Ken are exciting, lyrical musicians with vast repetoires, and it is fun and challenging to play with them.
Cezanne is an intimate (holds about 60)and upscale live jazz venue. Come expecting a hefty cover charge, pricey drinks, and great music.

I'm Home

I am home for a couple of weeks. The Smith Band was in Abilene last week. We had WiFi at a local coffee shop, but I got too lazy to post.
This week I am hanging out with the family, rearranging furniture for my wife, planning our trip to Disney World (in October), and trying to organize my studio. I also have started my second CD project for jazz pianist/guitarist Mike Owen. I am engineering and playing upright and electric bass. We have recorded three songs so far.
August 2nd I fly to Chicago,then drive to Lake Geneva, WI. The Smith Band is playing for a church camp. I hear it is beautiful there, and I'm really looking forward to that trip!
