LISTENING ASSIGNMENT

I need to finish up the listening assignment this week! If you haven't brought a song in yet, pick ONE song for us to listen to in class. It should be something you like, and not a recording of you or your friends (unless you are a major recording artist). Be sure to fill out the Listening Assignment sheet and put it in the notebook with your journals.

Studio Orchestra Week 5

RECORDING
I want to start recording in a week or so!
Please make plans to attend every class from here on-- it is important that we have good rehearsals to ensure a great CD! Also we will be voting on which song to record first, so make sure your opinion counts.

JOURNALS
Some of you are very behind on journals!! You should have 3 or 4 by now. I will be checking them at the halfway point, which is the end of week 6, which is NEXT WEEK!!!

See you in class.

STUDIO ORCHESTRA WEEK 3

Wow-- Week 3 already!

This week we will start branching out in different directions in each class. Think about some songs YOU would like to play in your class.

LISTENING ASSIGNMENT
You should be bringing in one song you like for your listening assignment. We will listen to about 3 at the beginning of each class. NOTE: This should not be a recording of you or your friends, unless you are selling many thousands of CDs! If you are a recording artist, bring in something that influences you.

JOURNALS
You should be starting on your journals. I have read through your entries so far and made some comments. You may also email your journal entries to me at:
aric.nitzberg@hccs.edu
BONUS: For 5 extra credit points, register on this blog and post your journal entries so we can all benefit from what you write!

I'll see you in class-- ROCK ON!
