Gigs This Week

Friday, May 23rd I'll be at Perry's Steakhouse and Grill. It's piano trio music, mostly jazz standards with some classic pop tunes thrown in for good measure. I'm never really sure who will be playing piano or drums, but it's often the great Bob Henschen on piano and Tim Solook on drums. Dress nice and come out for some drinks, dessert or expensive steaks.

Saturday, May 24th I'll continue my tour of Perry's restaurants at the Champion's location (which is conveniently located about 10 minutes from my house). Same piano trio format, and this week I have heard that I will be playing with the legendary Ricky Diaz on piano and Robert Amyx on drums. Should be fun.

WE MADE IT!

OK, we finished the CD and had our Release Parties. I hope that it was the easiest final exam you had this semester! I also hope you had some fun and learned something new about music this year.

I have turned in Final Grades. They should be posted next week. Check your grade, and if you did not get what you think you deserved, contact me ASAP. (Unless your grade is HIGHER than you deserved-- in that case SHUT UP!!

Check back here over the summer. I might post my live gigs so you can come see me in case you care.

CD RELEASE PARTY!

Hey all--

Our CD is all recorded, mixed, mastered and duplicated. It's time for the CD Release Party! This is your Final Exam in Studio Orchestra! So plan to come. There will be a sign-in sheet and your attendance counts as 10 points toward your final grade.

I will be bringing food and drinks, and everyone will get a copy of the CD. The party is only for current students of Studio Orchestra. No guests! (You wouldn't bring guests to your other finals, would you?) 

Each class has its own party. Here are the dates and times:

Monday Night Class:

Monday, May 5th   7:00PM Theater 2

Tuesday/Thursday Class:

Tuesday, May 6th 12:30PM Theater 2

Monday/Wednesday Class:

Wednesday, May 7th 9:00AM Theater 2

If you can't attend your party, please contact me ASAP and let me know if you can come to another party.
